6 Hour Fishing Trip in Panama City Beach – Snapper, Triggerfish & a Rare Octopus

We had a really solid 6 hour fishing trip in Panama City Beach with this group. They had fished with a few other captains before and told us this was their best trip yet. That’s always what we aim for — not just catching fish, but making sure everyone has a good time on the boat. Conditions were about as good as it gets. Calm seas, hot sun, and perfect spring weather. The fishing showed up too. We caught a pile of red snapper, along with triggerfish and vermilion snapper for the cooler. Then we had something you don’t see every day — a big octopus caught on hook and line. That was definitely the highlight and made for a great picture. What We Caught on This 6 Hour Fishing Trip Red Snapper Triggerfish Vermilion Snapper Octopus (rare catch) Everything just came together on this one — good group, great weather, and steady action the whole trip. If you’re thinking about getting out on the water, these 6 hour trips in Panama City Beach are a great option this time of year. 🎣 Panama City Beach Bottom Fishing Trip – Birthday Charter Success!

Panama City Beach Fishing Charter – Birthday Trip Offshore Had a good trip today. Mom brought her son out for his birthday and he brought one of his buddies along with him. Weather was nice and the fish were biting, so it worked out perfect for them. We started off bottom fishing and pretty quickly got into some action. Ended up catching some solid fish—big amberjack and a nice grouper, along with a few red snapper mixed in. In between that, we stayed on the smaller stuff to fill the box. Caught a good mess of vermilion snapper and some triggerfish, so they’re going home with plenty of fish to eat. It was one of those trips where the rods stayed bent enough to keep everybody interested the whole time. The boys had a good time and that’s what it’s all about, especially on a birthday trip like that. Panama City Beach Bottom Fishing Charter Produces Red Snapper and Triggerfish

Our Panama City Beach bottom fishing charter headed offshore into the Gulf of Mexico this week to fish productive reef structure in 100 to 200 feet of water. Bottom fishing the reefs off Panama City Beach is what we specialize in aboard the 52-foot air-conditioned charter boat New Beginning. These reefs hold a wide variety of fish, and when conditions are right the action can be steady throughout the trip. After arriving at the fishing grounds, it didn’t take long before the rods started bending. Fishing with fresh cut bonito and Boston mackerel, our anglers began bringing up quality fish from the bottom. The group landed several nice red snapper along with some solid triggerfish. These species are two of the most popular fish caught on a Panama City Beach bottom fishing charter because they fight hard and make excellent table fare. Fresh cut bait is one of the keys to successful reef fishing. On many of our trips we use bonito (little tunny) and Boston mackerel as bait while fishing the reefs. These baits work extremely well for targeting reef species like snapper, grouper, amberjack, triggerfish, sharks, and other reef dwellers. Most of our fishing takes place on reef structure located 100 to 200 feet offshore of Panama City Beach. These areas consistently hold fish and provide great opportunities for anglers to catch keeper fish when seasons are open. Even when certain species are out of season, anglers often get the chance to hook powerful fish and enjoy the fight before releasing them back to the reef. That’s part of what makes bottom fishing in the Gulf of Mexico so exciting. If you’re looking for an exciting Panama City Beach bottom fishing charter, come fish with us aboard the New Beginning. Our 52-foot air-conditioned charter boat offers a smooth ride, plenty of space, and an experienced crew ready to put you on the fish. Learn more about our reef fishing trips here:

6 Hour Panama City Beach Snapper Fishing Charter – Great Catch in the Gulf

This group joined us for a 6 hour Panama City Beach snapper fishing charter, and it turned into a great day on the water in the Gulf of Mexico. The weather cooperated and the fishing stayed steady throughout the trip. The crew spent the day working some productive offshore structure and quickly started putting together a great catch of vermilion snapper, also known as beeliners. These fish are some of the best eating fish in the Gulf and always make for an excellent dinner after a successful day offshore. Along with the vermilion snapper, the group also landed a nice red grouper along with a few other reef species that kept the rods bent and the action steady throughout the trip. Trips like this are exactly what makes Panama City Beach fishing charters such a great experience for anglers of all skill levels. By the end of the trip the crew had a great box of fresh fish, plenty of smiles, and a dockside photo to remember the day. It was a pleasure having this group out with us, and we truly enjoyed spending the day fishing with them aboard the New Beginning. Ready For Your Own Panama City Beach Fishing Adventure? With triggerfish back in season, our main keeper species will include: • Red Grouper • Grey Triggerfish • Vermilion Snapper These have been the most consistent keeper fish on our deep sea trips out of Panama City Beach lately. Depending on conditions, we may mix in a few other species, but this lineup has been producing solid action and great eating. Triggerfish season has reliably opened March 1 through May 31 in recent years, and early spring is always one of the best times to get offshore. 8 Hour Deep Sea Grouper Fishing Trip

Grouper fishing Panama City Beach was the mission on this 8-hour deep sea fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico, and this crew made it happen. We targeted offshore reef structure and put quality red grouper in the box along with a full limit of vermilion snapper and a pair of hard-fighting almaco jacks. Although some species are currently out of season for harvest, there is still excellent action on deep sea reef fish right now. We released several big gag grouper and a few amberjacks while focusing on keeper red grouper and steady vermilion snapper action. The bite stayed consistent throughout the trip and the weather cooperated offshore. Spring fishing is heating up fast and prime dates are filling quickly. If you’re looking for grouper fishing in Panama City Beach or an 8-hour deep sea fishing trip in the Gulf of Mexico, give us a call at 850-348-0186 to check availability and book your trip aboard the New Beginning

MUST READ!

NOAA has announced the Red Snapper will open from December 11, 2025 and close January 1, 2026. This is great news for any anglers looking to target Red Snapper. Fishing for Snappers in the Winter season is always really good. Low fishing pressure and cold temperatures bring the fish into shallower waters which is closer inland.

We are super excited to take everyone who’s already booked, and anybody else looking to book, to catch the delicious and hard fighting Red Snapper!
