This 8 hour trip out of Panama City Beach was the real deal. The vermilion snapper bite was wide open and these guys stayed busy from the first drop to the last. We put 160 vermilion snapper on the deck along with some solid triggerfish mixed in. Every stop had fish on it and the action never slowed down. On top of that, the red snapper bite was absolutely on fire. Even though they’re out of season right now, we caught a pile of big ones and got to watch them swim back down strong. Always a good sign of what’s sitting on the bottom. Trips like this are what deep sea fishing is all about. Constant action, full coolers, and a boat full of happy people. Another solid 8 hour deep sea fishing trip in the books aboard the New Beginning. The vermillion snapper bite was on fire, with some of the bigger beeliners we’ve seen lately hitting the deck. We stayed busy all day with steady action, and the box filled up quick. We also had plenty of grouper action mixed in, along with some big sow red snapper coming up that had to go back down. Always a good sign when you’re seeing that kind of fish on the spots. And just to top it off, we pulled up another big octopus, which made for a pretty cool surprise and a good laugh for the group. Conditions couldn’t have been much better. Calm seas, good drift, and a great group of guys that kept the rods bent all day. Trips like this are what bottom fishing in Panama City Beach is all about.
