Another solid 8 hour deep sea fishing trip in the books aboard the New Beginning. The vermillion snapper bite was on fire, with some of the bigger beeliners we’ve seen lately hitting the deck. We stayed busy all day with steady action, and the box filled up quick. We also had plenty of grouper action mixed in, along with some big sow red snapper coming up that had to go back down. Always a good sign when you’re seeing that kind of fish on the spots. And just to top it off, we pulled up another big octopus, which made for a pretty cool surprise and a good laugh for the group. Conditions couldn’t have been much better. Calm seas, good drift, and a great group of guys that kept the rods bent all day. Trips like this are what bottom fishing in Panama City Beach is all about.
